My life has been shaped by movement, risk, and reinvention. I’ve lived everywhere from Los Angeles to Atlantic City, spent time in New York City, and ultimately realized that five years on the East Coast was enough. At 52, I returned to Las Vegas—where I knew I truly belonged. Back in Vegas, I unexpectedly found my stride in the sex capsule industry, building a highly successful business over the course of 15 years. When federal pressure and legal challenges began to close in, I chose not to retreat—but to respond. That decision led me to write my book, published in 2023, and to confront the system head-on. That same period of my life brought unexpected personal rewards. While traveling in Thailand, after first meeting my future wife in Bangkok, I took a leap of faith—one that led not only to love, but to the third and most meaningful marriage of my life. Life has a way of aligning when you least expect it. Long before business and writing, I learned discipline and hustle through pool. I picked up the game at 16 at Farmers Daughter Billiards in Utah, and it changed everything. Pool took me on the road through Idaho and across the country, and for years it was my sole source of income. By the time I turned 30, I had lived life almost entirely on the road. In my early 30s, I transitioned into poker, dedicating myself to mastering Limit Texas Hold’em. I moved from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, grinding games at the Normandy Casino in Gardena before moving up to the Bicycle Club and Commerce Casino—the two largest card rooms in the world at the time. When the Rodney King riots erupted and Los Angeles descended into chaos, I returned to life on the road as a traveling poker player—and I was very good at it. I’ve always made my living on the street, by my wits, instincts, and willingness to take risks. Now, at 70 years old, I’m launching The Roadrunner Podcast—a continuation of that journey. If you’ve read my book in English or Spanish, you’ll recognize the voice. If not, I invite you to listen and watch as I share stories, lessons, and perspectives from a life lived without shortcuts.
